Two rival clans in central Somalia Agree on Ceasefire

ABUDWAK (Garsoor Online) — Aden Igal Hafa, a Somali elder says they have achieved to put an end the a deadly inter-clan battle in Abudwak city in Galgadud region following days of mediation efforts.

The two warring sides have ultimately agreed on ceasefire and stop the bloodshed that left at least ten people dead, and forced hundreds of families to flee their houses in the past week.

The local elders are making efforts to halt the hostility and restore peace in the central town.

Abudwak town in central Somalia has been the scene of recurrent tribal clashes in the past as local clans fighting for control and unsolved clan revenge.
