Somalia:New Intelligence Boss Takes Office

MOGADISHU(Garsoornews)–A ceremony to hand over the position of director for the Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) following the resignation of Ahmed Moalim Fiqi a month ago was on Wednesday held in Mogadishu, the Somali capital.
The occasion was attended by the minister of interior and security Abdikarin Hussein Gulled, members of the Somali Federal Parliament, the new director to take over the position and many other guests.
Bashir Mohamed Jama (Gobe) who spoke at the ceremony said that there will be big changes in the country’s Intelligence and Security Agency.
He added that each and everyone will be assessed according to his experience and qualifications.
Bashir Gobe has thanked the previous directors of the Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency for the significant work they have done for the Somali people.
Abdikarin Dahir who was provisionally in charge of the position stated that he will closely work with the new director of the Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency.
