MOGADISHU (Garsoor Onilne) – At least 10 people have been killed after a minibus they were travelling in was run over by African Union (AMISOM) troops’ vehicle outside Mogadishu, Garsoor Online reports.

Sunday’s accident also wounded 11 people, some seriously, who were being taken to hospital in the capital, a witness said.

He added the accident came after speedy AMISOM armored vehicle collided with a passenger minivan, heading to Mogadishu.

Hussein, driver of the minibus, who survived, says some wounds were also run over by the AMISOM armored personnel carrier.

“We evacuated the victims to the hospitals in Mogadishu for medical treatment”, Hussein added.

The military vehicle involved in the incident, was reportedly stopped by local authorities near Lafole area outside Mogadishu.

The African Union officials were unavailable to reach on the phone for comments on Sunday’s accident.
