Somalia’s envoy to Sweden slams Stockholm attack

Stockholm – Somalia’s ambassador to Sweden, Awale Kullane has condemned a truck ploughed into a crowd on a shopping street and crashed into a department store in central Stockholm.

At least 4 people have been killed and 14 others were killed in the incident occurred just before 13:00 GMT at the corner of the Ahlens department store and Drottninggatan.

“Our prayers and deepest Condolences to the Gov & people of Sweden: regarding cowardly attack of truck driven into crowds in central Stockholm”, Kulane said on his Twitter.

He describes it as “cowardly attack”.

Swedish police says one person had been arrested in relation to Stockholm truck attack, adding 4 people dead in attack, according to TT News Agency.

Sweden’s Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said everything indicates it was “a terror attack”. He said one suspect was arrested.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for Stockholm attack.
