MOGADISHU (Garsoor Online) – Heavily armed disgruntled military soldiers took to the streets of Mogadishu to protest non-payment of last 12 months.

The unpaid soldiers with battle-wagons also blocked a market and main junctions in the capital of Somalia.

Movements of the businesses and public transportations have been paralyzed, according to witness, who spoke to the journalists.

He says they were all chanting ‘salary of military soldiers must be urgently paid’.

“It seems their action would be “worse if they are paid soon”, Col. Hassan Hussein tells Garsoor Online via phone.

The army soldiers also put barbed wires on the road disrupting traffic for close to an hour.
