BOSASO, Somalia (Garsoor Online) – The armed group of Al Shabaab claimed to have killed at least two men including deputy police boss in Bosaso town.
In an online statement, the group says two of its fighters armed with pistols had shot and killed a Deputy Police chief of Puntland bank, named as Bashir Abdi Aare and one of his security guards in the heart of the town.
The group also vowed to rump up its attacks and assassinations against senior Puntland officials, according to its press release provided through social medias.
Somalia’s governor of regions in Puntland, Abdi Weli Mohamed Ali has told journalists that its military forces would lunch firm operations to eradicate militants from Al Shabaab and pro-ISIL group’s elements in towns of the region.
In the past months, several senior officials from Puntland State have been shot dead in separate attacks claimed by Al Shabaab.
