LAMU (Garsoor Online) – Deadly roadside bomb explosion targeting Kenyan military vehicle, has killed at least 4 KDF troops in Lamu county, northeast of Kenya.
In an online statement issued by Al Shabaab reads the blast hit KDF convoy with forces travelling through in the coastal town of Lamu, leaving 4 of the soldiers dead.
The army’s vehicle was partially destroyed by the blast, according to its press release.
Kenyan military officer says at least one KDF soldier dead and 4 others wounded in IED planted on the roadside.
He added that the wounded soldiers have been airlifted to Nairobi for medical treatment.
The group also carried out similar attacks in NW of Kenya, and the capital of Nairobi killing hundreds of people.
