Al Shabaab vows to raid election stations

MOGADISHU (Garsoor Online) – Somalia’s armed group of Al Shabaab has vowed to carry out deadly attacks on polling station in Mogadishu, amid the capital to host presidential election in Feb. 08.2017.

The group’s leader in charge of the capital, Sheikh Mohamed Hussein [Ali Jabal] said in press conference its fighters would rump up attacks on polling stations.

Sheikh Hussein added Somalia army and African Union (AMISOM) senior officials had surprised for the group’s recent suicide bombings on hotels in Mogadishu, leaving dozens dead.

He said: “We’ll do whatever we can get rid of the enemy of Allah. We will never stop bombings and targeting Somalia and African Union base in and out of the Mogadishu”.

The remarks made by Al Shabaab comes days after the militants carried out deadly suicide bombing on hotel Dayax in Mogadishu, killing at least 28 people.
