Addis Ababa: Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn reaffirmed Ethiopia’s commitment to support Somalia’s efforts in ensuring stability.
Hailemariam reaffirmed his country’s stance while discussing with Somalia’s Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire on Tuesday in Addis Ababa.
The leaders discussed on ways of strengthening the exiting relations between the two countries and future cooperation areas, according to Ewnetu Bilata, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister.
The leaders have also exchanged views about efforts being exerted to root Al-Shabaab out from Somalia and strengthen capacities of governmental institutions.
In this regard, Prime Minister Hailemariam asserted Ethiopia’s devotion to continue supporting the people and government of Somalia to the sustain achievements gained in every aspect.
“The two leaders have agreed to work together on ascertaining peace, development and security in Somalia for mutual benefit of both countries”, Ewnetu said.
Somalia’s Prime Minister for his part expressed his country’s desire to learn from best practices of Ethiopia in micro, small and medium industries.
