MOGADISHU (Garsoor Online) – Somalia’s rebel group of Al Shabaab fighters have hijacked a vehicle belonging to Kenyan Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) and crossed into Somalia.
The vehicle was travelling through Kenya’s Elwak town near its border with-Somalia border, as Kenyan forces launched an investigation to peruse the militants.
Somalia army forces have ambushed the militants, who carjacked the KPLC vehicle while they (militants) driving in Elwak town in Gedo region
In an interview, Deputy Commissioner of Elwak town, Sahal Mo’alim Mohamud, said that at least 3 people had been killed after government troops clashed with number of Al Shabab fighters
The militants took the vehicle into rebel-held areas in the region, adding that Somalia forces had been continuing an operation to return the KPLC vehicle
No word has been available from Kenya over the carjacking vehicle made by the Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab militants.
